As an experienced credentialed Business Valuations and Intangible Asset Valuations professional Cameron Cook has been responsible for leading and managing equity, business enterprise, and intangible asset valuations. Mr. Cook and colleagues conduct valuations for merger and acquisition assistance, bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, estate settlement, gifting, partnership buy-ins and buy-outs, minority shareholder rights cases, marital settlement cases, Net Asset Value needs for hedge funds and private equity groups, financial reporting under GAAP and IFRS, financing support, litigation support and more.
With more than 25 years of financial valuation and consulting experience, Mr. Cook has served a wide range of clients, including small business owners, boards of public companies, ESOP trustees, estate attorneys, bankruptcy attorneys, hedge fund and equity fund managers, and national and international banks.
Mr. Cook is a Director of Valuations with SVA Certified Public Accountants. Prior to SVA Mr. Cook has over 20 years with Gordon Brothers and predecessor AccuVal Associates as Managing Director of Business Valuations and Intangible Asset Appraisals. Mr. Cook has also worked as a business valuation manager of a large Midwest regional accounting firm where he conducted equity and business enterprise valuations for many small- to middle-market companies and assisted in their sale or acquisition. His industry experience includes but is not limited to: food-processing and packaging; lumber production and wholesaling; pulp and paper; furniture manufacturing and wholesaling; general contracting; carpentry; motor coach and other transportation services; personnel services; auto and truck dealerships; gas and oil; chemical manufacturing; steel mills and steel distribution; plastics; glass; metal; and many other manufacturing industries. He has also worked with numerous retail businesses and service industries, including financial institutions, jewelry, sporting goods, and clothing.
Mr. Cook is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) with the Institute of Internal Auditors, an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers and Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV) with the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. He earned an M.B.A. in finance, investments, and banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned a Bachelor of Science with distinction in psychology and behavioral science and law, also from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
