Barbara Lancaster is a Manager in RSM’s Charlotte, North Carolina Office where she is a member of the Valuation Services group serving RSM’s national practice. Barbara has experience in valuation of securities for private and public companies in the U.S. and internationally. She has worked and collaborated with boards of directors, presidents and CEOs, CFOs, controllers and private equity portfolio managers on their valuation needs. Barbara has performed valuation and advisory assignments to determine enterprise value for a variety of situations including strategic planning, sale or IPO, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting (ASC 718, 805, 350), tax compliance, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). Barbara has experience in engagements for purposes such as common stock valuation, stock options awards, purchase price allocations (intangible asset valuations), and impairment analysis. Barbara’s relevant experience includes economic understanding and valuation experience in an array of industries including software and technology, manufacturing, distribution, construction, telecommunications, financials, healthcare and bioscience, education, consumer products, specialty service organizations, and asset holding companies. Her experience also includes expertise in financial forecasting, cash flow modeling, common stock valuation, intangible asset valuation, and merger and acquisition analysis.
Prior to re-joining the Valuation Services team, Barbara had over 17 years of experience in owning and managing several private small businesses and a non-profit organization. Her expertise includes business development, start-up ventures, market research, operations management, strategic planning, contract negotiations, logistics, large-scale event planning, client relations, marketing, developing trade publications, consulting, and internal controls. Barbara previously worked for the RSM Valuation Services team serving the New York Metro area.
