Fred an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers, holds the Accredited in Business Valuation designation (ABV) awarded by the AICPA, is a CPA, and holds an MBA in Finance with distinction from DePaul University in Chicago.
Brookwood Vance is a firm dedicated to valuing privately held equity interests and evaluating ownership succession alternatives for business owners. As founder of Brookwood Vance, Fred brings over 25 years of accounting and finance experience including nine years as a principal and equity owner of another business valuation firm, and seven years as vice president of American National Bank in Chicago.
Fred is a frequent speaker and has served in various capacities with numerous professional associations including three-term president of the Business Valuation Association of Chicago, six-term Vice President of the Illinois Chapter of the ESOP Association. Fred is currently a member of the ESOP Association’s Valuation Advisory Committee and serves the Illinois CPA Society as a member of its Tax Executive Committee and Chair of its Estate and Gift Tax Committee.
