Mr. Todd Shirey is an Accredited Member (AM), and previously an Acccredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), in Machinery & Technical Specialties / Machinery and Equipment discipline, as designated by the American Society of Appraisers, with over twenty-eight years experience providing valuation consulting services. His engagements have included providing value opinions for financial reporting; federal and local tax reporting; merger and acquisition due diligence; interest expense apportionment; insurance claims and coverage; leasing; collateralization; litigation support; bankruptcy and reorganization; and strategic management purposes.
Mr. Shirey has performed and coordinated tangible asset valuation engagements for local and global clients, with significant experience in the following industries: aerospace and defense; automotive; aluminum and steel; chemical products; energy and natural resources; financial services; healthcare; media and entertainment; pharmaceuticals; retail and consumer business; semiconductor; shipping and transportation; telecommunications; and textiles.
Additionally, Mr. Shirey has inspected and valued international assets located in over fifteen countries. Having worked for large public accounting firms, Mr. Shirey also has been the beneficiary of experience that comes as an internal valuation specialist assisting audit practices with reviews of third-party valuations. Mr. Shirey has also performed building valuations, capital investment cost segregation studies, and operating cost-based economic penalties for operating facilities.
